57th Independence Day
World’s largest democratic country celebrates the 57th Independence Day tomorrow. The patriotic Indians waged a powerful struggle under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi and other Indian leaders to make this nation a free India. It was 15th August 1947 when India attained Independence and power passed into the hands of Indian people from the British rulers. The journey started then, has made a remarkable progress in all fields of human activity. In politics, India has become a vibrant democracy, known worldwide as the Worlds largest democracy. India has become a prosperous country where industry and agriculture has registered impressive signs of growth. We Indians can rightly feel proud of its achievements as it celebrate the 57th Independence Day tomorrow.
