Guys, this one is the reply I got from my friend Suman Kumar (www.sumankumar.com),
while Sriram Iyer is getting prepared for a new innings in his IT career. Suman is currently
working with wipro. Must read... if you are an IT professional.

I can understand, empathize and condone being sentimental about friends
and family; what I don't understand though is this almost heart-breaking
romance with your company. Let's get it clear: It is business. Your
company will not remember you, for you were a resource; a mere number.
As with any business, you never get what you want, not always. That's
why I kept saying 'I want to work with people better than me.' That
should be a benchmark; if majority of the people in your company are
less smarter than you are, pack you bags and get out. Or, be a one-eyed
king in a country of blind. What we have achieved -other than marrying
and becoming a father- is nothing. Read my furry lips. Nothing. If you
are ambitious you know what I mean. If you are working only for money,
stop reading here.
I work for money, and glory. I want to be remembered, no matter what. I
want to be famous. I want to make a difference. So I keep trying. To me,
I am doing a company a favor by joining it. If I leave a company it
means that the company stopped turning me on. Honestly, the earlier
company was a mistake for me. But I more than compensated by making
some wonderful friends. So life evened out.
There are three types of people: one, those who live for themselves, by
their rules. Two, those who live for others. Three, those who don't have
a life in the first place. Most fall under category two. And a few
losers (Devdas, Kurt Cobain, Jim morrison...) belong to three. Very few
belong to one. Because they are the people who rule the world.

Choose who you are. Let me put all that I said in one line: Getting a
COA is ok. Getting a Booker is better.
I want to be one of the world's best story-tellers. Nothing will stop me
from that. Companies, people, nothing. Stop thinking of working for
companies. Start thinking about owning companies.
