It was Friday night, 25th June ’04, Recreation Committee has organized a get-together at a nearby hotel. I reached the venue around 10 in the night though the party has started around 8 p.m. After having tasted the variety of food from across the country; myself, Nags and Lu headed to Shalimar Township around 11.30p.m to get ready for the early morning trip to Bhopal where we are supposed to board the Karnataka express to Banglore.
 
Though it was hectic journey from Bhopal to Banglore for more than 30 hours, Lu and myself managed to enjoy every bit of it by playing rummy and cracking those good old jokes; Even Nag’s Sherlock Holmes novel could not stop us from playing and chattering. Unlike other trains, the quality of food served was also good that Lu found himself enjoying the Masala Dosa, Samabar and the masala teas. It was Nag’s idea to go for ice cream after every meal that collapsed my throat for at least the next one week.

We hardly found time to sleep or roam around the city as we reached Banglore around 3 pm and had to attend Suman’s Marriage function the same evening itself. Overall the journey to Banglore was good, and this doesn’t even complete one way of the entire journey as each one of us had to travel at least another 5 to 15 hours to reach their hometown after attending Suman’s marriage the other day.
